Ein Raumfahrer kam in seinem Schiff
aus weiter Ferne angeflogen.
Es war Lichtjahre her,
als seine Mission begann.
Und über einem Dorf stoppte er sein Schiff,
und es hing am Himmel wie ein Stern,
wie ein Stern.

Er folgte dem Licht und kam zu einer Hütte,
wo Mutter und Kind im Bett lagen.
Ein heller silberner Lichtschein strahlte
um seinen Kopf,
und er hatte das Gesicht eines Engels.
Und sie hatten Angst.

Und der Fremde sprach. Er sagte:
"Habt keine Angst. Ich komme von einem
Planeten weit weg von hier, und ich bringe
eine Botschaft der Menschheit zu Gehör."
Plötzlich erfüllte zarteste Musik die Luft.
Und es ging: Lalala....
Frieden und Wohlwollen für alle Menschen
und Liebe für das Kind.
Lalala....

Diese liebliche Musik ließ den Boden
erzittern. Und viele erwachten, als sie
ihren Klang hörten.
Und Reisende auf der Straße fanden
das Dorf durch das Licht des Schiffs
am Himmel, das alles ringsum erleuchtete.

Und gerade bevor die Morgendämmerung
anbrach, kehrte der Fremde um und sagte:
"Nun muß ich fliegen. Wenn 2000 Jahre
eurer Zeit vorüber sind, wird dieses Lied noch
einmal mit dem Schrei eines Babys beginnen."
